Both the remote control and the wireless wall switch offer the same functionality, but they serve different purposes based on how and where you want to control your shades:

  • Remote Control: The remote is portable and ideal for controlling your shades from various locations throughout your home. It provides flexibility, allowing you to adjust your shades from anywhere within range.

  • Wireless Wall Switch: The wall switch is mounted near your window and provides a fixed control point. Since it’s not portable, it's less likely to be misplaced and is more convenient for regular, everyday use.

3. If I Choose the Matter Smart Motor, Do I Still Need to Purchase a Remote Control or Wireless Wall Switch?

Yes, you will need to purchase at least one remote control or wireless wall switch in order to set up and control the functionality of your Matter smart motor. For example, you’ll need the remote to enter pairing mode when connecting to the app, or to adjust the lower limit of the shades.

 

 

4. If I Purchase Dual Shades, How Should I Choose a Remote Control or Wireless Wall Switch?

Dual shades typically have two motors—one to control the front layer and one for the back layer. Therefore, each dual shade requires at least a two-channel remote control or wireless wall switch to independently control the opening and closing of each layer. For multiple dual shades, it is recommended to choose a multi-channel control device to simplify operation and enhance the user experience.

For instance, if you purchase three dual shades, we suggest selecting at least a six-channel remote control or wireless wall switch to ensure that each layer of each shade can be controlled independently.

 

 

5. Can One Channel Be Paired with Multiple Shades?
